CHAPTER 18

I check the time and realise it’s midnight, although I don’t feel sleepy and normally, so I have been told, that some stars like to sleep and some like to shine through the night.

Like shift patterns you would say as it is a job of theirs, sounds weird when you think a star has to have rest.

I would have thought they shined all the time, after-all, you see them at night-time, but they don’t.

Ethan takes my parents outside to look at the night sky they have created in their own world and to show them how they still shine in the mortal sky.

It is beautiful and I am happy as I watch them together, the love of my life and my parents.

I go back into the bedroom and close the door, lying on the bed I focus hard on speaking to my mother.
